Can A Pill Change Your Life: The Nootropics Craze:
The Nootropics craze is here. It isn’t new, but it is a highly profitable industry and it is certainly here.
Movies, Shark Tank successes and every person near and far is “cashing in.” It’s a big business. Complicating the reality of whether or not these pills work is marketing. Those who have the deepest pockets and the right marketing team at their disposal are leading the way in this industry.
Just because you have a multimillion-dollar budget and a shiny label on your bottle, doesn’t mean your product is the best memory booster product on the market. What concerns me is the supplemental industry as a whole! Supplements are not regulated by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
So, what are we buying and does it work? This answer has been left to our perception and our perception is clouded by the marketing industry (we eat with our eyes and we judge a book by its cover, despite being to told not to) We love “shinny labels.”
Are You Skeptical
If you are skeptical of the claims of “memory and focus boosting pills” on the market, you should be. What you don’t have to be skeptical of is this article. Many of the articles I read concerning “Brain Boosting Nootropics” were also selling them or had paid advertising on their website for “Brain Boosting Nootropics.” Really? I smell a conflict of interest concerning their articles content. Do you?
If you are reading about a product and the author of the article you are reading is telling you “what ingredients need to be present and at what level they need to be dosed to be effective” and it just so happens that they have a “product for sale that has these ingredients at the proper dosage”…..skepticism is warranted. Can a pill really change your life or is the Nootropics craze being fueled by predatory marketers cashing in on the multibillion dollar industry?
There are no affiliate links in this article, you are safe! I will be covering everything I have come across concerning this “craze” we are in (a multibillion-dollar industry and growing) and I am not selling anything.
We Have A Pill For That
In today’s world, there’s “a pill for that. Do you suffer from one of the following?
- Too Fat
- Too Thin
- Can’t sleep
- Have Acne
If you have something you’d like to fix in your life, these days, there is a pill for that! Add to this the complexity of pharmaceutical companies supplying physicians “kickbacks for pushing their products” and you have a recipe for exactly what we have now: A pill-popping society.
- I don’t to diet and exercise: No worries, just take two of these!
- I don’t want to expel toxic people from my life and do the internal work necessary to break free from my depression: No worries, just take two of these.
- You get my point
Where Is the Line Drawn
When does it become our responsibility to change our mindset and change our lives instead of taking a pill? The Nootropics craze is here, but can a pill change your life? Can a pill enhance your memory and make you smarter? Let’s see what the science says (not what the marketers peddling their products are saying)
If You Want To Find Our How Great I am, Check Out My Website
Do not be fooled, not now or ever, by the “consumer reporting websites” that provide valuable information and then offer the products that support their article’s information. If nothing else, this article you are readings intention is to prevent you from being scammed. Including by the article that warns you of being scammed, and then tries to scam you) If a pill can change your life, it shouldn’t be the Nootropics craze that makes you believe that! It should be information, not hype or marketing companies greed!
What are Nootropics? Nootropics are supplements or drugs that have a beneficial effect on brain function. Many of these can boost memory, motivation, creativity, alertness and general cognitive function.
The first nootropic drug was found in the 1960s and used as a way to help people with relieving motion sickness. The drug was then tested for memory enhancement. I’m going to say it’s safe to assume that people were reporting increase memory function, so they went in that direction (just a hunch). In 1971 Piracetam was developed as a nootropic drug that could improve memory and testing began to determine its effectiveness.
The term “Nootropics” was coined by a Romanian doctor named Dr. Corneliu Giurgea. Dr. Giurgea used a Greek combination of “nous” meaning “mind” and “trepein” meaning “to bend” to come up with the word Nootropic. Nootropics were said to be the drugs that can help “bend the mind.”
One Website That Comes Up When Searching For Nootropics
One website that comes up when you search for Nootropics has the history of this drug or supplement on their website (I verified the history as accurate), and they also go on to say that today, people are realizing that the nootropic drugs are far more useful and less risky than ever before.
This website claims that testing over the decades has proven Nootropics to be safe and a great product for people that are looking to enhance their lives and be healthier.
Guess what? They also offer FREE SHIPPING and a 30 DAY MONEY BACK GUARANTEE on their Nootropic products!
I don’t know about you, but all their “wisdom” has fallen on my deaf ears. Telling me how incredible a product is and citing its history (the history portion being accurate) and then trying to sell me “the product you claim to be the end-all” isn’t working for me! Convoluting the “sales pitch” with factual information (the history of the drug) is a tactic. The tactic leads you to believe this company is being transparent. But are they?
Were is their 3rd party research? Where is their publication in the Science Journey backing their claim with research? Hmmm? I can’t find it? What I can find is the “product” page on their website with all the products they sell!
As I Mentioned
This goes back to my earlier statement: If you want to know just how great I am, check out my website! (Please don’t waste your time looking anywhere else, you won’t find anything. Just take me at my word. I am an honest guy. After all, I have given you the “history” of the product that I am trying to sell you, I must be knowledgeable and honest! Marketing at it’s finest praying on the “sucker that is born every minute.”
What you will see if you check out their “products page” are the product descriptions. The descriptions either use the words “may” as in “may increase memory” or they simply state that the products have been tested for purity and what their ingredients are (who knows what they do?)
On one of “these websites” products, it states: “Banned substance by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).” I don’t know about you, but this product must be good? What is our world coming to? When is the FDA going to step in and keep people safe? Who knows?
Another Article I Found About Nootropics
When you Google Nootropics, no shortage of websites pop up. One of which has tons of incredible information on their website! So much information that it is overwhelming (too many big words). They must have done their research?
Guess what? They also sell the products that coincide with their research.
