3 Things You Should Do Every Day to Live a Fulfilling Life:
There are an incredible amount of articles online about what you should do every day (and their lists are long). I have only 3 Things You Should Every Day to Live a Fulfilling Life. The rest of the nonsense (these large lists) I have found online seem trite.
There are 3 things and 3 things only that will bring about the best experiences in your life on a daily basis and I have them for you! I left out the other 95 things (from the list of 95 things you should do every day) that you should be doing every day because I think they are ridiculous.
Wake up early is the #1 thing on “their list” for example. That’s absurd. I happen to wake up early, but I know extremely successful millionaires that don’t. You should be listening to your body, not implementing a “what I should do everyday because that is what someone is doing and it is working for them.”
Therefore, a majority of these 95 things in this article are garbage – IMO.
What 3 Things Should I Do Every Day To Live a Fulfilling Life
- Cry (tears of gratitude)
Evidence suggests that laughing is good for us. Laughing is good for our heart and the cardiovascular system because it boosts the performance of blood vessels. Laughing is also great for weight loss. Studies show that the body burns twenty-five percent more calories when laughing (all the more reason to laugh when you are eating cake)
“Laughter is the world’s best medicine -unless you are laughing for no reason, then you need medicine!”
Some of the things that research has shown laughter to do are:
- Lowers blood pressure reducing the risk of stroke and heart attack.
- Reduces stress hormone levels which help lower anxiety and stress levels (stress is a killer)
- Boosts T-cells which are specialized immune system cells just waiting in your body for activation (laughing activates them).
- Triggers the release of endorphins which are the body’s way of dealing with pain.
Doctors say people that have a great sense of humor and like to laugh are more likely to survive serious illnesses and even prevent them from occurring in the first place. (Even if laughing doesn’t cure them, they’ll die happier – that’s a joke)

If you’ve laughed by the end of every day, you will most certainly have had a better day than if you hadn’t. Laughing makes us feel good and it makes the people that see us laughing feel good too!

Cry (tears of gratitude)
One of the 3 things you should do every day to live a marvelous life is crying tears of gratitude! I’m talking about thanking the Universe for something in your life, big or small, that you are so grateful for that tears start rolling down your face.
The Universe loves you. Letting the Universe know just how much you appreciate the things it has given you will help you to realize and appreciate what you have.
Crying tears of gratitude will put you in an abundant state of mind focusing on the things you have and not the things you don’t.
Crying tears of gratitude and being sad are not possible at the same time. It is not possible to be so overwhelmed with gratitude and thanking the Universe for your incredible life be sad. Therefore, I would argue that crying tears of gratitude cures depression and any other negative emotion that you might be experiencing. You simply can’t be upset and grateful at the same time (not possible).
Gratitude will change your life (it changed mine) and being so grateful that it brings you to tears will evoke your emotions – the language of the subconscious mind. Your subconscious mind has more power than your conscious mind. If you really want happiness into your life, tapping into your subconsciousness is necessary. This can be done using your emotions and tears of gratitude are a golden key to that doorway.
If you want to be incredibly happy and live a life of greatness, crying tears of gratitude every day will make that happen. It’s one of my 3 things to do every day for a reason. A good reason!
Think every day. I’m not talking about “thinking about what you are going to wear or eat,” I’m talking about challenging your brain. Stimulating your brain will strengthen your ability to make creative or complex human decisions (getting dressed isn’t that creative or complex).
Imagine turning the creative aspect of your brain into overdrive! Some people are born with this part of their brain in overdrive. These people tend to be more creative (artists, painters, etc). However, you possess this part of the brain just like they do. You can turn it on!
You can turn on the creative part of your brain by stimulating it with thought. Here are some suggestions:
- Read something that challenges you to understand it (psychology for example)
- Collaborate with someone you disagree with
- Spend an hour of your day doing something you’ve never done before
- Talk to a stranger
- Take a class (cooking, pottery making, etc)
- Go for a walk and point out all the beautiful things you see along the way
- Write a poem
- Take a risk
- Write down all the ideas that pop in your head and tell yourself they are awesome! (some of them won’t be…but tell yourself they all are. If you tell yourself one of them is stupid, your brain will stop coming up with stuff. On the other hand, if you tell yourself they are all amazing – they will keep coming!)
- Ask questions when you don’t understand something (even if it doesn’t interest you)
- Daydream: You are not in elementary school anymore – you won’t get in trouble
- Try new foods (new recipes!)
Anything that challenges you to think is good for you. It will not only open you up to new experiences, but it will expand your mind and turn the creative part of your brain (Superior temporal gyrus) on!
Thinking made my list of the 3 Things You Should Do Every Day to Live a Fulfilling Life! Tell me how fulfilling is doing the same thing every day over and over? It’s not!
